A book, written and published by David Marston in 2016 entitled "The Bishopric of Barrow-in-Furness", gives the only full and detailed account of how the Bishopric came into being, the three Bishops, and its eventual placing into abeyance. Researched from contemporary sources, it contains a wealth of local detail which will engage anyone with an interest in the civic and religious history of Barrow, Furness, and Cumbria.
